About Me
Hi, thanks for dropping by!
My name is Katelyn (or Katey) and I'm a spatial and environmental health researcher and soon-to-be Ph.D. student at Emory University.
Originally from the rural Rust Belt of Pennsylvania, I witnessed social and environmental injustices throughout my community and even my own life due to post-industrialization. I'm inspired to unite research with community-based participation to reduce environmental hazards and promote resiliency within urban and rural settings. My research interests and experiences have spanned the topics of climate changing, aging populations, urban greening, and air pollution monitoring with an emphasis on spatial analysis and justice-based practices.

Aside from academics, I enjoy hiking, traveling, and journaling.
